Day 4 – Climbing Up Wildcat Ledge

Apr 2, 2022

Today’s Blog Entry

We started our day at Visitor’s Center to take advantage of their wifi for checking weather and researching our Sunday hike. From the Visitor’s Center we took a connector to the Point Trail which we followed to the rocky and rather windy Wildcat Ledge.

After enjoying the lovely view from this northern-most point in the park we dropped down to the River Trail and followed it upstream to the large picnic area where we enjoyed a nice hiker’s lunch on the river bank. We then continued on the River Trail out to the old Culler farmstead and picked up Culler’s Trail for our return to the campground. All told we hiked just under ten miles and covered much of the park’s five miles of river frontage along the way.
